Ford Old Hall Barn is surrounded by the magnificent scenery of the Staffordshire Moorlands on the Hamps Way. Although off the beaten track, there is lots to do here. The thriving market towns of Ashbourne, Leek and Bakewell are all nearby. We’re very close to The Manifold Valley, Dovedale with the Stepping Stones, The Roaches, Chatsworth & Haddon Hall as well. Plus thrill-seekers will love a trip to Alton Towers, which is just a short drive away.

It’s hard to put into words how amazing this property is – it has literally everything you could ever want, and more! This was our second stay at the barn, and we came for a short break for our Wedding Anniversary. Lynn and Nigel are just about to be nicest people you could ever meet, and could not have done more for us. The barn is stunning, immaculately clean and the most beautiful location. Every detail in making the stay perfect is there, from the wonderful arrival meal prepared for our arrival to the homemade bread and breakfast basket. The hot tub was a godsend especially after a over ambitious walk through the Manifold Valley – a leg killer for someone not used to it walking but beautiful scenery and don’t regret it at all.

This property has literally everything and looking forward to visiting again in the not so distant future. This property trumps any other stay in the UK, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.

We couldn’t fault a thing. It was a perfect stay. Immaculate accommodation, the most welcoming hosts who went out their way to make sure we had a fab holiday. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and a fabulous hot tub!

This is an outstanding property. From a delicious dinner and wine on arrival to the glorious breakfast basket and home made ginger cake on our final evening….amazing comfortable beds, wonderful hot tub and brilliant facilities. We will definitely be back!
