Membership Terms and Conditions
By submitting the online Membership Application Form, you agree to the following terms and conditions of Enjoy Staffordshire Membership:
Eligibility
Tourism, hospitality and leisure businesses located in and around Staffordshire, offering tourism product* and services for visitors, are welcome to apply for chargeable membership packages. Only businesses based in / operating in Staffordshire, including Stoke-on-Trent, are eligible for free membership.
*Tourism product covers a number of different categories including:
- Visitor Accommodation e.g. hotels, bed & breakfasts, guest houses, self-catering holiday lets, serviced apartments, hostels, holiday/narrow boats, camping, caravanning, glamping, lodges, shepherds huts, chalets.
- Visitor attractions that meet the visitor attraction definition: a permanently established excursion destination, a primary purpose of which is to allow access for entertainment, interest, or education and can include places of worship; rather than being primarily a retail outlet or a venue for sporting, theatrical, or film performances. It must be open to the public, with or without prior booking, for published periods each year, and should be capable of attracting day visitors or tourists as well as local residents.
- Activities including sporting, adventure and recreational activities e.g. horse racing, driving experiences, outdoor activities, guided walks & tours, spas, cookery schools, pottery workshops, indoor activities, trampolining etc.
- Hospitality e.g. pubs, wine bars, restaurants, cafés, tea rooms, coffee shops, bistros, food and drink markets, kiosks & street food (in a regular location).
- Cultural services e.g. theatres, musical entertainment venues, sporting venues, cinemas, casinos.
- Major Events i.e. key events that attract a significant number of people visiting from outside the local area e.g. Music Festivals, Food & Drink Festivals, Arts Festivals, Literature Festivals, major sporting events, agricultural shows, large scale performance events, historical re-enactments, air shows etc.
- Retail i.e. a single retail outlet, shopping centre or market that attracts a significant number of people visiting from outside the local area.
- Transport services e.g. rail, road, water, airports and vehicle rentals.
- Businesses providing supporting services to visitors e.g. visitor information providers, left luggage services, travel agencies and other reservation services, including tour operators and destination management companies
Membership Term
The membership term is on an annual basis and will run from 1st April – 31st March each year. For 2024/25 this means 1st April 2024 – 31st March 2025.
It is awarded to the business in its current ownership.
In the case of an eating venue, it will be awarded to the premises as opposed to the legal entity.
The minimum membership period is 12 months.
Fees
All membership packages, apart from Free Membership, are subject to fees.
2024/25 fee structure
Bronze level = FREE
Silver level = £125 + VAT
Gold level = £250 + VAT
In submitting the Enjoy Staffordshire membership application form, the provider is agreeing to pay the full annual fee for the chosen membership package.
Payment
The person submitting the membership application form must have the relevant authority / permission to authorise expenditure on behalf of the company / organisation applying.
Invoices will be issued by Staffordshire County Council (the accountable body) no earlier than 1st April 2024.
Standard Staffordshire County Council standard invoice terms apply with payment due within 28 days of invoice date.
Direct Debit payment facility is available, however this must be agreed in advance before an invoice is issued.
Change of ownership
It is the duty of the provider to notify us if there is any change of ownership of the business or premises.
Data on EnjoyStaffordshire.com
It is the responsibility of the provider to ensure the quality and accuracy of the information and data supplied for enjoystaffordshire.com and other channels, and that it is regularly maintained and updated.
Terminating membership
Should a business decide to terminate membership within the 12 month period, they will remain liable for the full annual fee.
No refunds can be given.
The Board reserves the right to terminate the membership of any member who is accused of misconduct or any act that is considered by the Board to bring Enjoy Staffordshire into disrepute.
Use of Enjoy Staffordshire signs and logos
Where a business ceases to be a member of the Tourist Board, for any reason, all display signs and logos must cease to be used immediately.

Enjoy Staffordshire is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
For the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), the data controller and data processor is Staffordshire County Council.
