About

World of Wedgwood is a world of luxury shopping, unique events, colourful dining, hands-on learning experiences, picturesque woodland and the V&A Wedgwood Collection. In a world of endless experiences, you can shop our Wedgwood Store featuring our exquisite range of Wedgwood and Waterford Crystal, as well as our popular Factory Outlet featuring Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, Royal Albert and Waterford to name a few. ‘Josiah and Co’ opened it’s doors in 2021; a little shop with a big ambition to put local artisans on the map. The shop showcases the products of over 35 local makers from across Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire.

In addition to our wonderful shopping opportunities, you can be sure to dine in style here. Our Wedgwood Tea Room offers an eclectic menu for brunch and lunch and our iconic afternoon tea. Across the way you’ll find ‘Lunar’ by two Michelin star Chef, Niall Keating, where you can enjoy a new modern fine dining concept in a breath-taking setting.

If that’s not enough for you, join a guided tour of our iconic Wedgwood Factory. Let our knowledgeable tour guide talk you through the manufacturing process as you get up close and personal with our skilled workers on a journey of how it’s made. If you’re more of a hands-on kind of learner, try your hand at throwing your very own pot in our Clay Studio where our host will help you use a potter’s wheel! Our Decorating Studio opens on special occasions like holidays, so you can paint a piece of stoneware yourself to take home on the same day.

You’ll also find the iconic V&A Wedgwood Collection here; home to over 165,000 works of art, ceramics, manuscripts and photographs charting the factory’s history, designs and ceramic production. Around 3,500 objects are on display in the purpose-built museum, showcasing the commercial and aesthetic history of Wedgwood ceramics from iconic jasperware and black basalt vases and ornaments, to bone china tea-sets and classic 20th-century designs.

Throughout the year we host some marvellous events, from unique dining opportunities for adults, to family friendly trails and immersive interactive experiences.

We’re set in the picturesque village of Barlaston, Staffordshire and surrounded by the Hem Heath Woods, so come rain or shine, our whimsical woodland and nature trail is fit for all ages to enjoy the great outdoors. Minutes from the canal, lake and Barlaston Downs, there is so much to do both inside and out!
