Biddulph Valley Way

Following the former railway along the Biddulph Valley from Stoke-on-Trent to Congleton, the Way a flat surfaced path making it suitable for walkers, cyclists and horseriders and suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs and buggies.  This is Route 55 of the National Cycle Network.  Most of  the route is hard surfaced and well signed.

Originally a branch of the North Staffordshire Railway or 'Knotty' it has an interesting combination of features such as embankments, cuttings, small copses, hedgerows and ditches which encourage a wide diversity of wildlife.

The start of the way is at the lakeside in Central Forest Park, The length  is 12 miles from the park.
