How it works

Our World Cup of Pubs will use a series of Twitter polls, starting with one for each group.

The winner of each group, decided by who gets the most votes in each poll, will go through to the quarter-finals, where it will be a straight knock-out, followed by the semi-finals and final.

We're starting on Monday 16th with two polls, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and there will be two polls a day, with the quarter-finals on Friday.

The semi-finals will be on Monday 23rd, with the final on Tuesday 24th.

Please note...

Please note, this is for fun and has no connection with the Pub of the Year category at the Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism & Good Food Awards.

The deadline for entries for this year's Tourism & Good Food Awards has now passed, and the judging process is underway, with the winner announced in a gala ceremony in October.

Thanks to these folks for their help

This list has been put together with the help of Taste of Staffordshire Twitter followers @6TownsMart @karlvegasash @jvictor7 @simonmarson @bob_beer, plus the websites of Real Ale Guide, CAMRA branches, and a good old Google search.
